From the hillsides of our ancient estate comes the best native grape varieties of Valpolicella: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Oseleta. Left to dry in little wooden crates in an old loft until January when they are pressed – resulting in this unique, extraordinary, and celebrated wine.
Bold with a deep red colour leaning towards Garnet and an intense bouquet, spicy, with aromas of almonds, ripe cherry, and chocolate. Exclusively aged in French and Slavonian durmast oak casks in an ancient cellar for a minimum of 24 months. A perfect match for red meats and aged cheeses.
Minimum 16% alc/vol.
After several months of rest, our Valipolicella Superioré (made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes from our own vineyards) is “passed back” that is, refermented on the residual skins from the Amarone.
The result is a deep red wine, full-bodied, with aromas of ripe fruit and spices, elegant and persistent. Exclusively aged in French and Slavonian durmast oak casks for a minimum of 18 months. Goes well with soups, meats, and mature cheeses.
Minimum 14% alc/vol.
